Dreyfus Ashby Portfolio Wine Tasting at The Owyhee Rooftop Terrace

Last night, before we swung by Prost! Boise's opening night, we took the elevator up to the rooftop terrace of the Owyhee Building for a special wine tasting hosted by Idaho Wine Merchant that featured more than 40 wines from the Dreyfus, Ashby & Co. portfolio.

David Millman, Managing Director at Domaine Drouhin Oregon, was pouring his lovely wines, including the 2011 Domaine Drouhin "Laurene" pinot noir and the 2013 Domaine Drouhin "Arthur" chardonnay.

Speaking of chardonnay, the tasting also included four wonderful white Burgundies from Maison Joseph Drouhin, including Chablis, Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon-Lugny and Premier Cru Meursault Perrieres.

Other interesting wines included a Cremant d'Alsace rosé and Cuvée Rene riesling from Dopff & Irion, founded in the 16th century, and the Renato Ratti Marcenasco barolo. Also, there was a line-up of beautifully packaged premium sakes from Japan's Ichishima Sake Brewery.

Snacks were provided by Kindness, and included stuffed mushrooms, mini tarts and an assortment of cheeses and breads. Thanks to Idaho Wine Merchant for hosting and inviting us!
