Today is the Final Day of the Greek Food Festival!
Photo via Lesya Dolyk on Flickr Today is the second and final day of the 34th annual Greek Food Festival, held at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church grounds, located at 2618 W. Bannock St. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and features savory Greek specialties like Souvlaki, a marinated pork skewer served with Greek rice pilaf; Fasolia Yiahni, green beans cooked in tomato sauce; Dolmathes, stuffed grape leaves with beef and herbs (pictured above); and


Take a Bite of Burek at Boise's Bosnian and Herzegovinian Heritage Day
Boise's Bosnian and Herzegovinian community is hosting the inaugural Bosnian Heritage Day Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Julius M. Kleiner Park, located at 1900 N. Records Ave Meridian. During the Bosnian festival you can sample traditional Bosnian food, participate in educational workshops and watch various traditional dance and music performances. Bosnian author, Jasmina Cesic, will also be at the festival to showcase her book, The River Runs Salt, Runs Sweet

Bring your appetite for blinis, borsht and Baltika beer because Boise's annual Russian Food Festival is going down Friday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Church.
